In India, first of July is observed as Doctor’s Day. It is celebrated to emphasize the value that doctors hold in our lives and this day is meant to pay them respect for their selfless service.
Why July 1?
Across the world Doctor’s Day is celebrated on different dates in different countries. In India, it is celebrated on July 1 because it is the birth and death anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy (Dr. B C Roy), one of the most famous physicians of India. It was started by the Government of India in the year 1991 to mark a respect for the great physician.
In other countries, the day is celebrated on different days, such as in Brazil, it is celebrated on October 18, while in the US, and it is celebrated on March 30.
Doctor
The symbol of Doctor’s Day is a red carnation because the flower stands for love, charity, selflessness and sacrifice, traits that a doctor must hold.
In our country Doctors, are often given as like god. In today, there are many of doctors who are not particularly ethical, but most of doctors are true worth and value of the profession. Doctor’s Day is exactly meant to celebrate and thank such doctors.
A doctor is the most dedicated person, who saves the life of patients, change the life by their services. The doctors make the happiest and healthier to the patient Doctors are the source of the happiness, hope, and strength.
Doctor’s services are the most important in the life because the all living being wants treatment for their diseases and they can live their life, while it is short or long, but gives the better feeling after the cure. Consequently, doctor treatment is vital for everyone, because they never go back from their services.
