In this blog, I share some geopark of Indonesi. Conceptually, a geopark is an area that has prominent geological elements, where the local community also plays a role in protecting the natural heritage. UNESCO itself gives special awards to some of the best geoparks around the world with the title UNESCO Global Geoparks (UGG). This high appreciation is very reasonable given considering the geopark is a strategic location for tourism. Moreover, traveling to geoparks provides many benefits ranging from educational tourism, nature, to culture in one tourist destination. Geopark development is the same as developing aspects of science in Indonesia. Because geoparks are often locations for geological research to flora and fauna. So far, there are various geoparks in Indonesia that have been named UNESCO Global Geoparks. Where has it been?**
Next blog, I will do share of Batur Geopark
